Peach Upside Down Cake

I tried a recipe from the Rodale's cookbook for Peach Upside-Down cake, and it was quite tasty. It seems what I'm really doing with all this unemployment time is turning into a pretend 50's housewife. I'm doing a lot of cooking for my bachelor friend who's letting me live in his basement. It works out well for him, because he gets to eat a lot, but I'd really rather have a job.

First attempt at crochet with wire

Silver, 28 ga, tarnish resistant with green beads. Two rows of single crochet.
